Downtown
Aurora's downtown was designated the Fletcher Plaza Urban Renewal Area by city leaders. Now the Original Downtown Aurora 12-block area is home to the Original Downtown Aurora Arts District. Artists, galleries and arts non-profits have been moving into the historical buildings to create, display, teach and bring art into the community.

History
Once a budding frontier town of farmers and ranchers, this agricultural outpost became a military bastion with the location of Fitzsimons Army Hospital and Buckley Field in the town. Today, what is now the Aurora real estate area is the third largest city in Colorado.
